Founded in 2015, Skylight Development Inc., provides Excavation, Foundation, Superstructure, & Landscaping Construction Services serving Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island, Westchester County and Connecticut.
Skylight Development was created to integrate all aspects of Excavation, Foundation & Superstructure Construction Services in order to provide clients with a high quality end-product that gets completed on time, and on budget.
From their headquarters in Harrison, New York, Skylight’s owners have developed strong relationships throughout the Tri-State Construction Industry. These associations enable them to collaborate with their clients to bring the fundamental resources together at the beginning phases of a project, and successfully through its completion. The Skylight team’s ability to act as a General Contractor while self-performing the most captious scopes of excavation, foundation and superstructures, provides an advantage to our clients for coordinated uninterrupted services.
Keith Van Sise
Mr. Van Sise has over fourteen years of experience in the construction industry. He has completed many large-scale projects throughout the NYC metro area during his tenure at Vachris Engineering, Casino Development Group, Noble Construction Group, and now at his current company, Skylight Development Inc. His responsibilities have included complete day-to-day oversight of project activities with significant training in excavation, concrete foundation and concrete superstructures. Mr. Van Sise’s responsibilities at Skylight include managing the financial function and cash flow, supervision of project accounting, and is responsible for developing the company’s short and long term financial goals.
Mr. Van Sise is a NYC DOB licensed Superintendent and NYC DOB licensed Concrete Site Safety Manager. He has his OSHA 30-hour certification and OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification. Mr. Van Sise received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from Hofstra University. He worked as an EIT (Engineer in Training) at Vachris Engineering, where he specialized in geotechnical and marine engineering.
Christopher Spratta
Mr. Spratta has over eleven years of experience in the construction industry. He has completed many projects throughout the NYC metro area during his tenure at Casino Development Group, Noble Construction Group, and now at his current company, Skylight Development Inc. His responsibilities have included complete oversight of project activities, from pre-construction through completion, with significant experience in excavation, concrete foundations, and superstructures. Mr. Spratta’s responsibilities at Skylight include oversight of field operations, mentoring and training of all team members, management of subcontractors, and oversight of the project management team.
With his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Mr. Spratta has contributed to numerous projects in the construction industry. With a sound foundation in engineering and construction management, he has been a valuable team member in the development and construction of retail, commercial, and high-end residential buildings.
Patrick J. Charon
Mr. Charon has brings twenty five years of knowledge, and expertise, in the construction industry to Skylight Development Inc. He started his career in the 1990’s as an Operations Manager for a mid-sized construction company that performed work throughout the five boroughs of NYC. He was responsible for implementing new divisions that organized the company to be increasingly more efficient to ultimately maximize profitability. In 2001, Mr. Charon co-founded Casino Development Group and Casino Carting. As an owner of Casino, he served as the Vice President from 2001-2008 and was intimately involved with all aspects of material/equipment procurement and day-to-day operations in both the construction and carting businesses. Upon his departure from Casino, Mr.Charon founded CKJ Group, where he acted as a consultant for engineers and concrete contractors that focused predominantly on structural stability, support of excavation, concrete foundations and concrete superstructures.
At Skylight, Mr. Charon’s responsibilities include business development, contract negotiations, cost controls and risk management. Mr. Charon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from New York Institute of Technology. He holds a license from the New York City Department of Buildings as a Concrete Safety Manager, has 30 Hours of OSHA training and a 16 Hour Rigging Certificate. Mr. Charon has intimately been involved in hundreds of construction projects throughout his career and has managed over 100 million dollars worth of successful projects where scopes of work range from Building Stabilization to complete Core and Shell.
